1.what ever you do... DON'T WEAR IT OVER 10 HOURS!!! tampons have a chemical in them that if it is in your body for more than 10 hours tops it can cause death. not to scare you or anything, its just make sure you dont leave in for more than 10 hours. i reccomend wearing a pad to sleep and when you get up change into a tampon if you wish.
2.and the first few times you wear a tampon, it most likely will hurt. but watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNP0qhBdfHI this girl explains how to put it in, take it out, and she explains how it hurts the first few times and what to do if it does. hope that video will help you with that.
3. depending on your flow, you should change your pad every 1-4 hours. if you have a light flow, you might not need to change it for 3-4 hours. thats ok. but if you have a heavy flow, you should change every 30 mins, 1 hour etc.
4. you should change a tampon every 45 mins to 2 hours usually. I usally change mine after every class, which my classes are 45 mins. i have a med flow though. you will know when you should change your tampon. it will feel kinda strange when it gets kinda heavy with your period... you will know. but check every hour or two.

You can wear a tampon overnight but really it needs to be changed within 6-8 hours, depending on how heavy your period is. && no it doesn't hurt, but if you don't but the tampon up far enough then it could be every uncomfortable when you sit down and might feel like it's pinching the sides, if you get that then just go and take the tampon out and try again. && you need to change them both within 6-8 hours but sometimes you need to change it more.

A lot of the answers you are looking for are right on the box. However, you never ever want to exceed 8 hours as you will put yourself at risk for a specific type of shock related to the use and wear of tampons. It may be uncomfortable to insert on the first use, however if you find it to be painful do not use them. Every woman's body is different and though most women prefer these items due to their convenience it doesn't mean it will work for you and there are other options available.

Yes you can. It might hurt the first couple of times, for some it does, for others it doesn't. Change it a few times a day, as long as you feel comfortable wearing this until it doesn't feel clean to you or it starts to get saturated.
