Favorite type of sushi?

I love all different types of sushi, but my favourites are:

Nigirizushi (握り寿司) which consists of a bed of sushi rice, usually with a bit of wasabi, and a topping draped over it. My favourite toppings are salmon (sake), tuna (maguro) and prawns (ebi).

Makizushi (巻寿司) which is a rolled sushi generally wrapped in nori. I really like salmon, cucumber and avocado.

Inarizushi (稲荷寿司) which is a pouch of fried tofu filled with sushi rice.

I enjoy my sushi with a little wasabi and soy sauce and like to have some pickled ginger to cleanse the palate after each sushi.

Tuna, avocado and mayo - if you are worried about the raw tuna, have it cooked instead. But really there is nothing scary about raw fish - it actually has a really mild flavour. Or go vego - my local sushi bar does a delicious pumpkin roll with grated carrot for textue.

raw tuna is the best. tastes nothing like canned tuna. just have it with a little wasabi and you'll think you just died and gone to heaven. salmon is good as well!. also try the shrimp sushi.

I think for a 1st timer like your self, you should start off with the california rolls, I like the ones with the caviar on top. One you may also like is with smoked salmon, uummm, enjoy!

I like crispy rolls(it has fried shrimp in the inside), California rolls, and something called the caterpillar

Definitely Yellowtail (Hamachi). It has a very rich and buttery flavor, and soft texture...you'll barely believe that you're eating fish at all! It is amazing!
