What are the products from the following single–replacement reaction?

Cd(s) + AgNO3(aq)  →

(a) Ag and Cd(NO3)2

(b) Ag and Cd(NO2)2

(c) Ag2O and Cd(NO3)2

(d) Ag2O and Cd(NO2)2

    Cd is higher on the reactivity series so Cd will replace Ag

    this forms Cd(NO3)2

    B wouldn't form a nitrite from a nitrate

    c and d are just silly
