Depends on how the child is forced... and what the child is being forced to do.

If you are forcing a child using abuse yes it's illegal.

If you are forcing a child to do something illegal... you guessed it, it's illegal.

Also, if you aren't the child's guardian, and depending on the circumstance, it would be considered unlawful.

In most cases, yes it's illegal.

I'm a "child" myself, well actually a teen (14) and some of the disrespect towards our age group is ridiculous. Yes I realize that we don't have the responsibilities that adults do... But then again we don't have many opportunities to have responsibilities like a job... But that's no excuse for us to be treated terribly by some adults for absolutely no reason, so I don't believe that a child should ever be forced to do something. Kids are put in a stereotype that claims all kids are brats, rude, unruly, ignorant, stupid and irresponsible. I've done everything to prove that I don't fit into that stereotype and nothings changed. It needs to stop.

Sorry if that seemed off topic I don't think it's right that children are forced to do things and in most cases the law agrees.

No. Not if the thing they are forcing you to do is not illegal, and the child's parents or guardians are doing the forcing.
