cant access the internet, help!?

i just formatted my hard drive, and after re installing windows xp and all the drivers, i cannot get online, although i am able to connect to my network so i know the wireless card is working. i am using a laptop computer every time i try to go online, it tells me there is no service

Update:

also, i have another laptop on this same router and its working fine. i tried resetting the router, turning off the firewall, and restarting the computer. i am unable to renew my ip adress

thank you matt. i tried that, and default geteway is blank. anymore ideas?

    Make sure there is a modem that is connecting to the router so the router can actually go online. go to cmd(search it in the start menu) and type in ipconfig/all. Now look for Default Gateway.

    Copy it down and paste it in the adress bar. It will ask for your user and password. (probably admin/admin, router/router/ [blank]/admin should be any of them. Now see if your router has reported any errors.

    I suggest you make sure that your computer is compatible with the current version of your router. if not then please call your computer/internet support.
