Does this type of fixing have a name?

I have a piece of stained glass that I want to fix to a wall and I need brackets to fix it, it is quite fragile so I'd like some metal brackets to fit around it to screw into the wall to hold it. I need something that's almost Z shaped but the centre stick to be straight like left > up > left (depending on which side it's mounted on of course!) at right angles if that makes sense.

The top half to wrap around the lead frame of the glass and the bottom half to have a screw part to screw into the wall. I need either a link or a name for this type of bracket, from someone experienced pref. in the UK to be sure the name is the same, many thanks!

Yeah I think it's called Lead Lighting & there is an art to doing it!

Try going to a Lead Lighting shop & they should be able to help you out!

    Cheers!!

try going to a mirror shop like home depot or lowes and look for mirror clips or hanging bars for glass and see if they can do the job of hanging your stain glass if not you can try wood trim and rout out the back to receive the glass then screw the wood to the wall. gl

Mirror clips should be okay, they are a "U" shaped clip. Get them from most hardware stores.
