When can i go on social security?

My birthday is Jan 1952. Can I go on social security at age 62 or is it age 65 now?

    You can apply to get Social Security at age 62. You will get significantly LESS money than waiting until you are 65 or 66. Usually 25% less than if you wait until full retirement age...which is probably 66 for you.

    Age 62 for early (reduced) benefits. Your "full retirement age" for Social Security is 66. This info is all available on the SS website.

    Right now you can apply for partial benefits at age 62. Since you were born before 1954 your full retirement benefit age is 66.

    At age 62, but benefits are lowered from what they'd be if you waited.
