How much do pictures weigh (Read on please)?
As in "how many photos to the ounce?" (BTW...I shoot in raw format if that matters)
The reason I ask, is that by the time I am done shooting at the end of the day (when I pack everything up), it weighs a lot more than it did when I started out the morning. I go back to the office, and while transferring the session to the network for backup/editing, I relax with a snack and something to drink.
Eventually, I take the memory card out of the computer, put it back in the camera to format it, then put the camera in the bag away....and the bag feels lighter than it did when I was leaving the session.
@DRMike....That explains why people call me a "knuckle dragger" (or maybe its my 36" reach and unibrow) ;-)
@Selina...It is a Cannnon 1D. So 10.1 Mp x 3(for the raw weight)...do I multiply or divide the APS-H 1.3 crop factor into that? And I couldn't find any information on the thread count ( I hope it is 1000 Egyptian cotton)

OrangeD00D's answer is a bit simplistic, jpegs, especially low res ones do not weigh very much at all but if you shoot RAW+basic the extra weight from all those images adds up fast, shoot enough to span several memory cards and you will be wishing your camera bag had wheels before the end of the day.
I have, over the years, made it a habit to switch hands when carrying my camera since after several days of one-handed carry I would get uncomfortable scrapes on the knuckles of the hand carrying the camera from all the arm stretching; once I started switching off the stretched arm would revert to it's original length in about a day,

How can we possibly answer this without knowing what camera you have?
The weight depends on so many things......
1) Obviously, the more pixels, the heavier the photo. After all, you wouldn't expect 2 million pixels to weigh the same as 12 million, right? RAW files are about 3x the weight of jpgs.
2) The brand of camera - each one uses a slightly different thread count, you see.
3) The sensor - obviously, the bigger the sensor, the heavier the photo.
4) Your physical condition - this one is more subjective and inaccurate, but feels every bit as real....... the more tired and worn out you are, the heavier they get.
I suggest a trolley bag, that way you can pull all those pics behind you instead of having to carry them.
I feel your pain :-)
