I too have McAfee Internet Security Suite and have used McAfee Antivirus since Version 5 about 9 years ago. While earlier versions left the course of action to the user when a virus infection was detected and allows one to follow the recommended order or course of action as to cleaning, quarantining, and/or removing of an infected file, the last 3 or 4 versions pretty much take care of the fix by their built in methods of tried and true and best method for the particular infection of malware and/or virus automatically and by default. I myself agree with that default method and also prefer it, I have to say, since it seems to be the most effective and the most efficient and timely way of protecting a machine since they - McAfee - have more knowledge and experience than probably 99+% of users. For this reason, I believe, this option user choice option is not made available anymore as probably over the years most users would still keep going to the McAfee site for advice on which option to use as they did not know which to use and therefore seek help as they did not know what way to go for whatever infection they had be it a virus, a worm, a trojan, a script, a planted program, or whatever. The options still available to you that I know of are the type of scan you want - a file, a folder, a full deep scan, a quick scan, a daily scan, a weekly scan, a day and time, email, downloads, etc. - and these can be your choice and of your choosing as far as thoroughness. Anyway, to answer you, as I said, I believe that the type of option you are wanting is no longer available but you can find out for sure by going to McAfee via the link in your Security Suite 2010 and go to their customer tech support section or their free tech support chat and ask a specific question on this subject and get a full and exact answer.

    Best to you...
