Why is eyeliner considered attractive?

I wear a dark eyeliner on the bottom of my eye lid just to do it .

I have bright blue eyes and my boyfriend says that it makes your

eyes stand out from people who lets say don't wear it .

it's not the emo dark but it's attractive kind of way i guess

In my opinion, a lot of people say that the first thing they notice about someone is their eyes. Also, when having conversations, it's best to look someone in the eyes. So by wearing eyeliner, you're naturally drawing even more attention to them, making them REALLY stand out ^_^

i know a girl that her eyes look exactly like she is wearing an eyeliner while she's not

it just makes your eyes look pretty and i guess that eyes are the most important part of your face and the first thing that any one would look at

That's a good question. I love my eyeliner! i would say the reason most girls wear eyeliner, is to boldly make the eyes standout. I mean.....look at your eyes before and after you put on your eyeliner, the eyeliner gives that "hmm!" effect (couldn't figure out a word to use). Maybe its the seductive look it gives...who knows?..

it doesn't make all the women attractive ( I mean it depends on your face). for example I myself have big eyes, so I think it's better to not use black eyeliner. besides, I think the blue-silver one makes those attractive. anyway, sometimes you look faded, so when you add some colors to your face it becomes happier. totally there is no need to eyeliner to look attractive, and although it is unnatural in my mind can be useful in some cases!

Well, if you wear it right its attractive... it brings out your eyes and makes them bigger. And yeah some people's eyes are. The 6 year old i babysit looks like she's always wearing eyeliner.

It doesnt neccesarily look attractive on all people & it can look natural if you know how to do it right . you tightline & it makes you look like you have a thicker lash line . but not if your doing like a cat eye, or lining your inner parts .

but i think the main reason people wear it is to enhance the eye & make them stand out more . plus it makes you look older , but in a good way . like more mature . if you know how to put it on correctly, it can look super good (:

Makes your eyes stand out, it also outlines the natural shape of your eyes to make it more sexy, dramatic and appealing to people.

Not your natural beauty but your eyes. it supposedly makes them bigger. but do not put too much on because they could make your eyes smaller if you have asian eyes or already dark eyes. you'd look really scary.

it brings your eyes out, makes them the first thing you notice, looks sexy, etc. any kind of makeup is "unnatural" looking if you think about it, i mean nobody naturally has bright red lips or colored eyelids or perfectly shaped eyebrows etc
