How fast does blood chemistry (lipids) change with change of diet?
If I have high Cholesterol due to diet, how fast will my blood Cholesterol reduce if I start eating healthy?
Thanks Henry... Diet does affect Cholesterol... It's the wording that's important. Diet doesn't affect PURE cholesterol, but it affects the Lipoproteins that 'carry' the Cholesterol in the bloodstream, the HDL's and the LDL's (called good/bad cholesterol by the layman, erroneously - they are transports that carry pure cholesterol). Diet will alter the balance of HDL and LDL's... and it's the LDL's that tend to DUMP cholesterol into your artery walls causing Cardio Vasc Disease.

I once dropped my total cholesterol from 235 to 185 in about three months with a radical change of diet. (Have also made it shoot up just as fast at another time with a radical increase in fat in the diet.) I've read that diet should not affect cholesterol that much, but in me it seems to.

Try exercising in the mornings, best way. Also try staying away from Cola's/sprites and such. And also try eating alot in the mornings, that helps with the metabolism.
