Foods to bring for camping(vegan)?
What are some foods I can bring for camping that isn't all junk. I have the basic ideas like trail mix and potato chips but I am going to be the only vegan there, vegetarian for that matter and I do not want to make a big fuss with my food. I do not want them hassling me. Any Ideas?!?

-Soy and Almond milk(get the kind that is not found in the dairy section but in a box. So it can be left unrefrigerated(until opened) and be okay to consume
-Canned beans and soups. Amy's soups for example.
Peanut butter
Bread
Rice-could mix that into the soups or veg stews
Pack fruits and veg that do not require refrigeration:
Apples
Bananas
Oranges
Tomatoes(one exception:once they are cut up,they do need to be refrigerated(due to rapid growth in bacteria at room temperature). So consider cherry or grape tomatoes as opposed to slicing tomatoes.
Pears
Avocado
Grapefruit

Fake burgers (vegideli is vegan), sausages and other meats are really good - you can make hot dogs and burgers, and sub them in for real meat. Salad is good because it will go with any meal. Whichever cereal you like in a little packet or tub is essential, plus if you drink any vegan milk (like soya or rice milk, for instance) then take some of that in a cooler bag. It depends how long you're going for, and how much you think you'll eat, but here are some more ideas...
baked beans
a loaf of bread
soya / rice yoghurt
soya / rice / dark chocolate
soya / rice ice cream (swedish glace is good, if you have that in the us)
little snacks, like dried fruit packets or cereal bars
vegan marshmallows if you think there will be marshmallow-toasting over a campfire
egg-free pasta
rice
hope this helps and have fun camping!

Take barbecue tongs and plenty of aluminum foil to bake things in a campfire.
Try an all in one meal, also called a dutch oven. Place about a 12-inch piece of tinfoil down and fill with whatever potatoes, squash and vegetables you like along with some butter, onion, garlic or onion soup mix for good flavor.
Cover with more foil and wrap into a package. Place directly on the fire. Flip every 10 minutes and continue to check every 20 minutes to see if it's done.

I have the same problem! You need to bring something healthy. Such as peanut, cashew, or almond butter, and maybe some pecans to dip into the nut butter of your choice, or crackers. Also, you should bring some Luna bars, or some other healthy granola bars. Good luck!
