My computer won't open any files?

Everytime I click on something (even my antivirus) its asking if I want to open it with firefox. I can't even open task manager...its says system32 (forgot the rest) Its frustrating!

Update:

I've tried system restore but it didnt work....its getting me really mad lol

    Try accessing 'safe mode'. You can do this by starting up the machine as usual and pressing F8 at regular intervals until you see a black screen with white text. There will be an option to start in "safe mode", select it and try running your anti-virus software to do a full scan.

    That's a start anyway, because I could write pages of this stuff!

    Maybe you have a virus that disabled it. Try doing a system restore to a date you remember being able to open files and programs

    Sounds like your 'Executable(.Exe) Association' Is Corrupt/Missing.
