I have many favourite black metal bands... but ill choose Lord Belial. Their music is so melodic and so beautiful, they have made some of the most amazing stuff i have ever heard. Extremely good, I also really like their volcalist Thomas Backelin. Dark Wisdom Horde falls close behind.

I don't listen to much doom metal anymore, though I love Katatonia.

Slayer is pretty much the only thrash metal I listen to. Reign in Blood obviously.
