why is sound is playing through my headset instead of my speakers?
so here is the set-up: i have my corded controller connected to my pc so i can use my xbox360's headset to chat with my friends on skype. now instead of hearing sounds through my speakers and voices through my headphones, it is the other way around. even when i disconnect my headphones and/or controller i cannot here anything at all. i have all the drivers and stuff for my controller and headset also. the only way ive found to fix this is by removing all drivers from my computer.
any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you tried going into the control panel, audio controls, and changing the default output device back to speakers?
You should then be able to go into skype and specify it to use the headset for anything coming through that particular program.
