That is how the old wives tale goes. My baby's heart rate was 148 at 14 weeks and then pretty consistent only going up or down about 2-3 bpm at each apt and I'm having a boy. A friend of mine at 14 weeks her babys heart rate was 172 she's also having a boy lol. So for both of us the wives tale proved wrong.

Actually I don't btlieve it's true... I was supposed to be a boy based on heart rate... But I'm obviously not.. But my little girl madisons heart rate has been 145/150 and well she's a girl... I don't believe many wives tales except the needle trick... I've never known it to be wrong so... Take a needle and thread and hole it over your wrist if not preggo belly if you are... And if it goes back and forth boy or circular motion girl... Mine went in circles slowed down then back and forth and I'm having a girl... A friend of mine did circles and she had a girl and a week before she knew she was preggo... It did circles for her daughter then slowed down and went back and forth.. She is having a little boy in September..

Didn't work for me. I'm having a boy and his heart rate has always been over 150. Don't rely on old wives tales, they are called 'tales' for a reason.

nope :] its not true sorry tho! there are some crazy wives tales out there! the only way you can know is by ultra sound but even that isnt 100%

the heart rate goes up if they kick or move during the listening...old wives really had too much time on their hands.
