What was media like in the past?

Okay i don't want the answer to be too complicated, detailed but easy to understand since i'm a high school student. Thank You for all answers ^_^

    Before tv most likely newspapers for news along with books. Then came radio and news radio was big. Most people received news from this source while tv was forming you had tv news. Today after about 25 years of news it has developed into something much different. The media is changing as you know so maybe in 30 years very few newspapers and maybe fewer news radio. Interesting in how we get the news.

    For the 1900's, they had videos,newspapers and books. For the rest under 1900's there was books and newspapers
