Why are all the Transformer movies about Decepticons vs. Humans and not Autobots vs. Decepticons?

I mean come on people - in reality (if this is was real - HA!) humans would stand no chance against the decepticons. So why do I continually have to watch a transformers movie were humans kill the coolest bad *** decepticons. Don't hollywood understand that humans don't actually have to be the heroes in a movie for people to like it.

Update:

People are not understanding my question. I don't want to remove humans. I also understand the storyline crap, but I do not like seeing a group of pee-on humans with toy weapons compared to transformers kill an awesome decepticon (i.e. blackout). Do some damage - sure - but not destroy completely.

They had to change a ton of the dynamics of the Transformers lore. If they had done it right, the Decepticons would have been devouring our energy supplies, not really caring if we were there or not.

Why do this? Because they wanted these flicks to appeal to a mass audience. Let's face it, the mainstream of society are not exactly up to snuff on Transformers lore. Also, if it was just Decepticons fighting Autobots, the massive human casualties would cause humans to attack both, unless one posed an immediate threat to humans. So, the Decepticons need to destroy the Earth for things to make some semblance of sense.

Clearly... you have not learnt the basics of story development... or you weren’t listening. Secondly, you fail to see the break down of what is going on in the stories.

A story can be broken down to:

    Man vs man

    Man vs nature

    Man vs self

    (or in this case)

Man vs robot (an autonomous sentient object)

Now you are failing to see that it’s not just man vs object... it’s also object vs object. And the battles could not have been won for the humans, without the Autobots. Now you ask WHY the Decepticons choose to attack the humans. The reason is that they feel that us humans don’t deserve to inhabit this planet. They basically think of us as worthless vermin that should be killed off. Symbolistic to the European mentality (based on religious beliefs) toward the “savages” of the African continent.

I do have some issues with the storyline and the movies do have flaws, but that is all summed up to the responsibility of one person... Michael Bay. The pompous blow hard feels he can screw with details just so that everything fits into the scope of how he sees things. Transformer cannon means nothing to him and he only cares about putting in the craziest movie fx as some kind of affirmation to himself.
