Fantasy Baseball Trade Advice?

you dont want to be trading the best catcher in the league for a guy that seems to be struggling to get back to form(mauer) as you say on a normal year you would win, but this year i would pass......you should however offer cain and axford for lincecum cuz cain is having more of a down year than lincecum and axford is expendable as you have 3 good closeres left(adams will be the closer in a couple weeks) try that trade if that doesnt work just leave it as the trade in its current form isnt worth it....all the best the rest of the way

no way....think about it.Even if Mauer somehow stays healthy the rest of the yr,the best you can hope for is a good BA.But V-Mart is already second in the AL in BA.He is hitting behind Miggy Cabrera.Mauer will be hitting between....who?....Casilla and Cuddyer?....Plus,even when Mauer is at his best(which he isnt)V-Mart provides more power.Mauer had 9 HR's last yr.that yr w/ 28 HR's was a fluke.He isnt a power hitter and never will be.

Obviously Lincecum is an improvement on Cain,but it isnt THAT much of an improvement.Cain gets K's and is very consistent.

and Axford has proven to be an elite closer,he gets a ton of K's and hasnt blown a save since the beginning of the season.He's a top 10,maybe top 5 closer.

in other words,for the gain you make w/ Lincecum over Cain,it isnt worth it for the dropoff w/ Mauer.Honestly,even w/out Axford,I wouldnt do it.Because I dont believe Mauer is an upgrade on V-Mart in any category.And even if LIncecum has a dominant second 1/2,Cain will be pretty damn good as well.Mauer is living on name recognition IMO.

Do not make this trade.You can't trust Mauer from day to day,to be healthy.He will always be fragile.Lincecum is a beast,but Cain isn't far away from him in stats.Axford has a bright future and closers are hard to come by.VMart can hit with the best of them and has multiple position eligibility.Tell the guy,who offered this trade to you,to step off and then beat his A$$ the next time you play him.

lincecum is slumping this year and so is mauer mauer is so injury prone and is slumping too u can trust him. Victor martinez and john axford are great. dont make this trade. Sure if u do accept it u will get big names on ur team but not stats

I say do not do this trade for the following reasons... Mauer is simply overrated and only hits for average.. not to mention his health problems this season.. Timmy slim Jim is hit or miss this year.. he isn't having a good season for his standards.. no consistency.

keep. on a normal day i would accept this but i like cain and maur has been injured so best to stay away even with the upside

keep Cain his postseason last year was dominant and his last 2 starts have been boss keep Cain otherwise its an ok trade
