2001 chevy cavalier fuel pump/fuel filter question.?
I can hear my fuel pump running when I turn the key, but the car wont start. also, there is NO fuel pressure, not even a tiny hiss from the valve... could this mean that the fuel filter is clogged? rather than the fuel pump going out? please help!? there a several hundred dollar difference in the repair of the filter vs the pump!

Put a new filter on first, but many times the pump fails after trying to push fuel through the plugged filter for a while, and you might need new pump anyway.
