Why do people assume that if you don't believe in Jesus that you don't believe in God?

"People" don't assume that, Christians do.

John 1:1 " In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the { Word } was God."

John 14:6 " I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the { Father } except through Me."

The inspired word of God, the Holy Bible will inlighten you if you study it. However if your a non believer and don't accept the Scriptures then there's a problem. I'll pray for you Brother. What's my story ?; I cannot turn back, for I've entered into an irrevocable contract with God. I have committed my life to Jesus Christ and He has given me eternal life.

so if you dont believe in jesus you wont go to heaven

jesus has taken our sins punishment and now we are free to go to heaven..but beileve in him and live good life not because you are scared of punishment but because you love him
