How long should I wear my contact lenses?
My contact lenses are soft lenses. They are Acuvue Advance with Hydro Clear. I usually wear them all day since I have no clue of how long to wear them. When I wear them they don't feel like they're there even though I know they are. They don't burn or itch while wearing them for large amounts of time. I don't want to damage my eyes and I really want some advice on how long I should wear it considering I go on and off with them ( I take naps a lot ). hELP ?

You should be able to wear them all day long with no problems. Just remember to take them off each night and make sure you know if ther are daily contacts or monthly contacts.
They shouldnt cause much or any damage in your eyes if you leave them on during your naps, I used to leave them on for the whole night when I slept and nothing happened.

You need to give your eyes rest from the contact lenses. When you get home and staying in wear glasses. I use to put my contacts in as soon as I woke up and didn't take them out until I went to bed. When I had my yearly eye exam my doctor was able to tell I did this because there were blood vessels growing into my cornea. She explained that the blood vessels in your eyes need oxygen if they don't get enough they start moving toward the surface of your cornea which then interferes with your vision. The contact lenses prevent oxygen from reaching the vessels. So long story short don't wear your lenses all day, give your eyes a rest as much as possible and wear glasses.

My mom has been wearing contacts for 5 years and only took them out when she went to bed. After such prolonged usage, her eyes had an allergic reaction to them, now she cannot wear them anymore.
You must let your eyes breathe (sleeping does not count) for at least 4 hours a day!
Hope I helped :)

How about some lazer surgery. If it is successful you won't ever have to wear contacts again. Research it first in depth though.

Take them off before 12 hours...if longer your contacts get super dry and its not good.
