Is it rude to remove a post on someons facebook wall?

Today was this guy's birthday on facebook...ive known this guy ever since elementary school...but we never really talked like that as friends u kno. so today i noticed it was his bday on facebook so i always tell everyone happy birthday on facebook..so i wrote happy birthday on his wall thats been a few hrs ago. ...so i recently went back on his wall and when i did i noticed that he commented back on everyones post and told them thank you except for me. i didnt understand why i was the only one he didnt tell thank you too. so i removed my post from off his wall. was that rude? or was it the right thing to do?because afterall i was nice enough to tell him happy bday but he never responded to it. i always thought he used to have a problem with me now i know for sure he does...but do you think he'll notice the comment was removed?

Question did you wish him happy birthday because you wanted him to thank you or because you were being kind, the guy isn't really a friend he might be on your facebook but that doesn't really make him a friend. GET OVER IT. It would have been polite for him to thank you, he didn't maybe he missed you post I skipped post before myself. I checked my wall and there are 15 posts saying congrats on something come back an hour later and there are 30 more its ez to miss one person's response. what you did by removing your post was spiteful and petty.

No it wouldn't be rude lol, he'd probably laugh I mean it's kinda mean but my friend leon did that one day to this ***** preppy annoying chick at our school haha.
