should I play pokemon platinum/soulsilver?

Both Platinum and Soul Silver and Heart Gold are good games, worth playing.

White is better then black, because you can catch Pokemon in white forest that are 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st gen ones (and you can't get them on Black)

The Silver and Gold remakes are the priciest games (but that is only because more people want them - you have those that played the originals and cannot do so because the internal batteries that keep time have run dry, and those who started playing from the GBA games). It's certainly my favourite game - since you visit two regions, there are sixteen badges and overall much more game play - plus the 'Ultimate Battle' against Red at the end. Plus the availability of a 1st and 3rd gen starter.

Platinum is the best of the 4th gen trio - and is a good yarn, but it's only really neccessary if you want the 4th gen poke to complete the Pokedex on other games.

Whoever told you Pokémon Black is the best is trippin'! Pokémon Heart gold and Soul Silver are hands down the best Pokémon games on DS and Platinum is pretty good too so i'm gonna say YES you definitely need to get Heart gold or Soul Silver and Platinum

I'd say the funnest pokemon game I've played is either platinum or black. In other words I think you would enjoy Platinum a lot. The gold silver remakes are also really fun so I'd suggest those too.

Platinum i think has the most fun in-game pokemon to use. HeartGold SoulSilver have the Johto starters and them alone makes the game fun :)

Well it all depends how much you love pokemon. I have a collected: pokemon yellow, cristal, saphire, ruby, fire red, green leaf, diamond, platinum, heart gold and white. If you are like me and you have the money buy the two of them. First Platinum is cool because you can collect pokemons from the four generation( here you can caught Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, Giratina and a lot of awesome pokemons) and the story line is nice. Heart Gold and Soul Silver I like them a lot because you can walk with the pokemon you want to walk. The games are like a repetition of Gold, Crystal and Silver and the grafhics are awesome. You should buy them because you can get a lot of pokemons you dont get in Black and White( that are a new generation). I hope this help you.

Well, I have to say, first, Black isn't the best (but that's just my opinion). I beat it in like 2 days, and I didn't even play that much. However, it is worth getting.

Platinum: I have it, and it's pretty good. I started with Diamond, so I pretty much knew what happened in Platinum, but I liked it, still. It's probably my second-favorite.

Soulsilver: I have Soul Silver, and further into the game, this was like, my favorite! :3 So I think you SHOULD get this. Plus, it includes Kanto, which makes it probably the longest Pokemon game I've played (excluding the Ranger games). I reallly think you should get this, but it's expensive (but it includes a Pokewalker, where you can transfer your Pokemon into this mini Pokeball-type electronic thing and get items/Pokemon and stuff like that :3)

Overall, this is the opinion of many people, as is mine, although you can differ and I actually encourage you to choose your own path.

Black and White where amazing, possibly the best games since Gold and Silver. Must play pokemon games.

Heartgold and soulsilver are very good, although with all the new features, many fans felt it differed to much from the originals, but they still loved them. If you never played the originals, they are average, but still a good buy.

Platinum was probably the worst game, the story line was terrible, as where the pokemon. Only buy it over Diamond and Pearl.

black: honestly, I really didn't like it much at all. but then again that's coming from someone who just got into pokemon last year (weird, right?) seriously, i had to catch up with the first four generations...and then they add a whole new one. so not fair.

soulsilver: i'd have to say this one was my favorite. you went to 2 regions, so more adventures, more pokemon, and more fun. :)

platinum: ugh. the storyline was weird and there was a lot of other stuff that was kind of annoying. but they do have infernape...and some other good pokemon...so idk.

Nonono black is not the best it is heart gold or soul silver (that's why HG and SS are more expensive than black) I beat both and I still like soul silver better
