Summer Makeover Troubles?

Question

So I had this whole plan to do a really dramatic summer makeover but here's the problem.Summer is halfway over and i look EXACTLY THE SAME! I am african american and i have really poofy hair(even when straightened it has a lot of body to it) and it only goes to my shoulders so i was going to buy clip in extensions to make it longer but my parents think im too young and said no even if i pay. So then i decided to get a relaxer in my hair so it straightens better-again my idea was rejected.So i was wondering what i could do to my hair because I have tried a ton of different styles but i really want the long look and also I know my mom doesn't like a lot of make up and stuff so that's not an option cuz im only 12 but i can wear lip gloss and a little mascara.Also i have a really good sense of style but all my clothes aren't really what i consider cute.They are like all from justice and now im starting to really luv Charlotte Russe and forever21 but my parents wont take me shopping!Its like they want me to be ugly for the rest of my life!what should i do?should I wait till next summer or keep trying even though my parents will probably reject my idea?

Also since some of you are saying to try tinted moisturizer what kind it best for me cuz i have fair skin on my cheeks but an oily forhead

You're 12 so for make-up i'd use a tinted moisturizer, great lash mascara and burts bee's lip balm. All of this can be found at Walmart for a relatively good price. if you really want and eye makeup you should really just wait another year or more, i'm 16 and i don't even wear eye makeup granted that it's by choice because i like the more natural look a posed to the like loads of makeup look thats why. For hair i'd really leave it alone you're hair is probably really beautiful and putting chemicals in it would damage and ruin your hair, I have very very shiny soft black hair when i was younger but i died it because i wanted to change up my look, that is something i regret THE MOST because even though i got a color that i liked my shine went away and you can't undo the damage of chemicals so i honestly would say that you should just take care of your hair and by that i mean use a great shampoo and conditioner/ style products. here's a great answer: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080714181849AAhx7ks

Justice has very cute clothes but i agree with you forever21 and charlottes russe have some pretty clothes to, but they are more suited for 14-17 and up you know ? Try going to different stores, maybe hollister kinds of stuff, they have a really cute floral tops and shorts just like forever21 but they have a younger line that i think would suit you.

You should really try to talk to them about why they think you shouldn't and try to help around the house to show that you're responsible and getting older, try talking to them about how you feel and how you want to change. Try to be very mature about it, I think they will consider it all.

well your not going to be ugly forever and you sound fine and i like justice and maybe you should start doing things around the house to make them have respect for you and then maybe that will happen for you.Also you shouldn't wear dark colors during the summer try neutral or light colors.
