How to go to Milford Sound from Queenstown, New Zealand?
I know most of them are daytrips with return coach and cruise included. However, i just want to book the coach to go there and back, and i'd like to take some pices somewhere during the journey cause it is said to be very beautiful! How can i just book the coach only, from who? What is the cost? Thanks!
Thanks, guys! However, we are not able to drive, so we'd prefer the public transfers like coach or bus tour, whichever is available, cheaper, and can stop somewhere on the way so that i can take nice pics. Thanks again!

Yes you can get a coach tour from Queenstown, its a full day trip. I can't remember the cost it depends on what you are doing.. I think the bus+ cruise is probably about NZD$160ish...I had a car and drove there. Its a decent drive but it was really amazing. We had the perfect weather (in fact they couldn't stop going on about how rare it was to have the calm, clear day...so take a waterproof jacket). I went at the end of September when there was still some snow on the mountains just before Milford Sound.
I know the buses stop at the Mirror lakes on the way to Milford Sound arriving about lunch time, do the cruise which is a couple of hours and then head back. I think they stop in the valley (its a wide expansive looking valley floor with amazing views of the mountains around) somewhere (as I passed buses on the way there stopped for photo stops). I think they also stop nearish Homer Tunnel for views of the mountains.
The hotels and the information center had information about the bus/cruise trips and there are several companies that do it so it should be reasonably easy to do it, but I would expect it to be a long day (I had a full day from Te Anau which is quite a bit closer!!)
Try www.newzealand.com, which is a general website but will probably give you more info,

Rent a car. There are nice places to stop on the way and you can do it then all tour buses gone. Also you can do some short hikes - like hike to Key Summit or Marian lake.
