Help with summer makeover?

So I had this whole plan to do a really dramatic summer makeover but here's the problem.Summer is halfway over and i look EXACTLY THE SAME! I am african american and i have really poofy hair(even when straightened it has a lot of body to it) and it only goes to my shoulders so i was going to buy clip in extensions to make it longer but my parents think im too young and said no even if i pay. So then i decided to get a relaxer in my hair so it straightens better-again my idea was rejected. So i was wondering what i could do to my hair because I have tried a ton of different styles but i really want the long look and also I know my mom doesn't like a lot of make up and stuff so that's not an option cuz im only 12 but i can wear lip gloss and a little mascara. Also i have a really good sense of style but all my clothes aren't really what i consider cute. They are like all from justice and now im starting to really luv Charlotte Russe and forever21 but my parents wont take me shopping! Its like they want me to be ugly for the rest of my life!what should i do?should I wait till next summer or keep trying even though my parents will probably reject my idea?

OOOH I LOVE THIS QUESTION :) get ur hair stretched, u probably have natural hair, if u don't know how to do it go on youtube and type in "stretching natural hair", then ur hair wont become "poofy" anymore and it be way easier to straighten ur hair, if u have money, go to the shops and buy ur clothes, its ur money so... u can persuade ur parents by going to hair salon if u do really well on ur tests and get good grades :)

    good luck

your parents are saying no for a reason, act more mature and do things around the house that your parents didnt even ask you to do, like vacuuming, washing the dishes, etc.
