Hold on a minute, I'm Not a Doctor.?

I booked a Ryanair flight, but inadvertently selected "Dr" instead of "Mr" on the title bar when making the booking. The boarding pass doesn't show a title, it just shows my name, but Doctor will no doubt be beside my name on the manefest. Should I call Ryanair to get my title changed, (will they charge me a fee?) or will it not be a problem? Thanks in advance for your help

If they pull you up for it just plead ignorance. I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem. If, however, with RyanAir being RyanAir and you phone them beforehand they'll more than likely charge you a change of booking fee.

They will charge you a fee. Because it's Ryanair. And they're like that.

I have three options for you:

    1) If a woman DOES go into labour on the flight and the stewardess insists you help her, explain calmly that you made a mistake and you're not really a doctor. PRO: Honesty and integrity. CON: They might accuse you of being a liar, and that woman's going to give birth messily and painfully all over your luggage.

    2) Same scenario. Explain that you are a doctor of physics, or you're a chemist, or a doctor of coffee deliciousness. People with PhD's are doctors too, remember! PRO: Get yourself out of a sticky situation. CON: Stephen Hawking might be on the flight and demand an argument about quasars. And besides, that pregnant woman's still having that baby!!!

    3) Same scenario, except this time, claim to be THE Doctor, travelling by Ryanair because your TARDIS is out of fuel. Whip out a pencil and pretend it's a sonic screwdriver for added effect. PRO: You're the Doctor, everything's positive!!!! And maybe the pregnant woman's a huge Doctor Who fan, and is so distracted by your awesomeness she doesn't give birth until you land. CON: The ACTUAL Doctor might be on the flight. In that case, you're ****ed.

Just hope to God that a woman doesn't go into labour on the flight!

Seriously, I don't think it matters - except for the above scenario...lol

There is no law to say you can't call yourself a Doctor, as long as you don't claim to be a doctor of medicine. I knew a man who decided he was a doctor of hypnosis, and awarded himself 15 letters after his name.

I shouldn't worry as long as your details match those held against your credit/debit card, I've accidentally clicked on "Rev" before now.
