    The Thing

    watched it when I was about 16. Watched the first half by myself, and was so freaked out and excited about its awesomeness that I stopped watching so I could show the whole thing to a couple buddies of mine. Freakiest movie I've ever seen.

    Runner-up would be Paranormal Activity, watched it with my college roommates. I swear watching horror movies with friends amplify the movie's freakiness. That was one of the best movie watching experiences of my life.
