Why lust is confused with love?

Not alot of people know what love is, so they think the first feeling they get is "love" when it's actually lust. Lust blinds more than love. Love isn't instant, it's something that happens over time. You can like someone a lot and it's still not quite love.

NO not really .. cause after you have lusted and come to know this person it turns into a love affair. You both might lust but to get to know another person is totally different.You wonder at first how it would be to be together and lusting. Then it becomes something that you never would imagine and the both of you are out of lust start to become lovers. Sharing each other and full filling each other romantically. Lust is just a four letter word as in the word Love. From this end No I dont confuse that word Lust and Love. You might lust for this person and love them at the same time.

Lust is not a good thing. That is why it is one of the deadly sins. While I am not a religious person I feel there is still a lot of wisdom behind the old teachings. Lust is more likely to result in something bad. Lust and love are, in a way, the difference between being an animal and being human. Love is a much more complicated and multi layered emotion. Both are selfish in ways but love is reciprocated. Lust is based on the need to experience personal gratification whereas love involves an interaction of feelings between two people. Concern for that person.

I am thinking maybe lust is associated with love because in many societies sex is forbidden outside marriage and marriage is supposed to represent a love that is shared between two people. I'm half asleep, knowing what I want to say but it's just not coming out right. People often married because they were ***** for that person and it is still that way today hence why there are so many unhappy marriages.

Lust is a temporary emotion which involves only sex. where as love is a comprehesive term & lust is also its part. This is why lust is often confused with love.

LUST is to connect people physically

n LOVE is to disconnect them from the whole world mentally :)

the diffrence between them is of , commitment, true feeling , and the mutual understanding of being togetherness till life.....

any realtionship without these incredible feeling is "lust".

it spoiling the meaning of love, in our culture

you love your father , mother, sister,brother ,friend, and relatives....but you have lust for the opposite sex , thing is that we love them at the same time, may be that is why it is lust is often confused for love

because its always associated with that . also by some lust full person act , true love lost its name .
