Will music get any worse?
I was thinking one day about how completely terrible modern music is. I tried to be pessimistic, thinking that it can only get better from here. However, I've heard the music kids listen to, and I know that the future must be bleak for the music industry.
So what do you think? Will someone come along and turn music around in the right direction? Or will the Lady Gagas and Taylor Swifts of the future lead us into musical oblivion?

I like Taylor lol but your right music is going to crap it isn't anything like it used to be, Im 28 but I like music from the 60s up to the late 90's. Now there is only few songs that I really like that will be faves for a long time. I think music is going to probably get worse to be honest.

Mainstream music is crap. I think thats what you're talking about...There are many artists today in other genres like Rock, metal, jazz etc. who make excellent music. The only difference is that in the 80's this good music was mainstream. Listen to a song called " Strong as a Rock " by Axel Rudi Pell. He's a new artist but his music sounds like it belongs in the 80's. Perhaps in the future the mainstream scene will get better. But even with mainstream, Rock, Metal and the other genres will never die

The majority of music made nowadays is pretty bad. Some say its because everyone puts money over just making some good decent music. But I listen to mostly songs from late 60s (64-69) and early 70 and some others. Hopefully, in tine it will get better!

Just tonight, I was wondering the same thing. I forgot my ipod when I went to the gym and I was forced to listen to an hour and a half of the top 40 radio they play there.
I came to the conclusion that it's not actually possible for mainstream music to get any worse. It might stay the same, but I don't think there's any further down it can go.

Music is not just rock , albums and pop stars. A humming near the camp fire is also good enough. Don't worry. History has a way to repeat itself. May be someday, people will feel this and good music will be played again. Lotus emerges from swamp. Let the swamp be made first and then....wait for the lotus.

Sadly, things will get worse. There are some things clinging on and coming through, though.
As a child in this musical wasteland (bitter old age of 15), I'd die before I'd exclaim that I like most of this crap. So at least have it known that there are a few people who still listen to things that aren't horrible. Like Zeppelin and Rush.

there are maximum of distinctive opportunities and comments for the respond of this question and that i think of the stereotypical, customary answer may be because of the fact that is "catchy" and all I ought to assert approximately that answer is drop ineffective haha. the actual and actual musician/avid track listener's answer may be that the track has lyrics from the middle and actual meaning to each little thing of the track. I additionally experience that to be sure that the track to have actual meaning and actual chemistry for the listener, the band ought to have a superb chemistry. Many examples of this are bands that have been shaped by potential of individuals who've been pals on the grounds that they have been teenagers which incorporate pink warm Chili Peppers(even with the indisputable fact that the band had initially shaped with a distinctive drummer and guitarist the present contributors have usually occurring eachother continuously), elegant, Incubus, Foo opponents, and Weezer. $5 says the only modern music you've heard is on the Top 40.
You can't write off an entire era of music based off what's chart topping.
Another $5 says you're under 18.

Im 13 and I completely agree with you, but thats only if you listen to the popular stuff, and the popular stuff is just total crap. BUT the stuff that isn't popular (as in rock/alternative/metal music) its acually really good.

Honestly, this isn't music anymore. It is more or less promotion of an agenda of materialism and promiscuity. Music officially died after the 1990's.
