We are clicking on "show all english questions" and get any questions written in English, which includes UK, Austrailia, and anywhere else where someone has asked in English. I "use" the American answers, but if I click on a question, it'll show me that it's asked from the UK (or whereever, sometimes really obscure countries).

Whenever I go to Yahoo Answers U.S., I have to sit through 12 year olds asking "how d0 i giv muh bf a bj?" and "OMFG. am i prgnant?" and "i hate gays! who else agrees!?" I've seen print-screens passed along the Internet of stupid questions from Yahoo Answers U.S.

I went to the UK version, and while there were still stupid questions, as there are anywhere you go, I found a lot less. It seemed to me that it was more people asking GENUINE questions and giving GENUINE and well thought out answers. That's why I tend to use the UK version more.

If you start at the American site, you get the choice of "USA Questions" or "All English Language Questions". If you select the second option, your questions appear on the UK & Ireland site (as well as American, Canadian and Australian sites). The poor dears think they speak English, don't disillusion them.

I think it is all connected to the English speaking countries. I just sign into y/a and i get a lot of Brits and Aussies on here.

I wonder how that happens myself as I log into UK & Ireland questions only.

We don't use it on purpose but we get ALL ENGLISH QUESTIONS. So unless the British speak something else on here then sometimes it will take us to questions in the British section or our saved searches look for questions in the English section.

Because the UK y/a is better. ;)

    Oh, I don't really notice.
