Media - Is Media has power to defame anybody?

In the past, Kalaignar has filed several defamation suits and also served legal notices to those who try to defame. Why not he prefer a defamation suit now against such Media?

Dr.Kalainjar also a Media owner as well as an Electronic media on his hand. The same Sun TV done maximum atrocity while kalainjar was arrested and the same Dayanidhi Maran gave voice for Karunanidhi. How many times it was repeated and make the people to believe. The same Karunanidhi critisized C.Rajagopalachari, Kamaraj, and not spared Indira Gandhi through the Media. He blames indirectly the indian express and the writer Gurumurthi.

it is 100 per cent right. The indian channels doing politics. Forum meetings, discussions, blaming, supporting, and crying to the top level against a person. These channels purely partial. i wish to say they make nothing a huge. They can do many services, but they did not. They aim particularly the DMK is my opinion. It is very much paining blaming, bringing bad remarks against 88 years old and a great politician like M.Karunanidhi. i ask you, are there no one doing corruptions? is these DMK alone doing ? Today to M.Karunanidhi, tomorrow, they start against Jayalalithaa. i guess these channels wantonly doing to show other countries that india is most corruptive. while these channels doing a drama one side, the printing media is doing drama in another side.

Media is considered 4th estate of the world. But, they now become 1st estate. it is not good to a nation. This media is responsible calling national leaders by name. This media did not respect the rulers and wandering with head-weight.

No one need to doubt that still and even in the coming days M.Karunanidhi is the only leader for Tamils. I do not want to come against Jayalalitha vs Karunanidhi. Sun TV is the beginner to all these things. why you all, i am saying media shouting against only against M.Karunanidhi family only? Motilal Nehru Family not ruling? Who is Meera Kumar?

yes off course , it has a power to change anybody fate , but not in the wrong intention as said by DMK chief . media only tells ongoing sensational news which happening . they don't tell to malign anyone only for revenge or something , they tell what is truth , it may hurt somebody , but they never stop telling that only because that person feels . if you are good and follow righteous path who can defame you ? , so problem is you . so you should be right first . before blaming others . :)

Media is not defaming anyone. It is only showing what is happening and exposing the corrupted people like Maran. Media is only doing its duty but the people like Maran is not doing their duties. Maran should be behind bars as soon as possible. Lastly Media is the fourth tower of democracy. But people like you won't understand this as you blindly follow the corrupted people.
