Cockatiel temps? is my house to cold to have one?

i would love to have a cockatiel but have concerns that my Home in Winter using Wood Heat might b a lil chilly in the early morning hours @ 62 degrees or so.. fire dies down a lil while were sleeping its not a sudden drop there wont b drafts we use lot of plastic on windows! Michigan winters will the bird acclimate its self to our home temps 68 i suppose is what reg temp will b.. ty for your time

    No there is nothing wrong with that temperature, it is draughts that kill the birds.

    I breed all year round outside in the UK, and sometimes the Summer temperature does not even reach that in the North of England, my birds winter outside and come into their sleeping quarters where the temperature can be sometimes minus 5deg. but I do provide heating by way of electrical thermostatic controlled heaters .

    So go ahead and get your bird , they are hardier than you think.
