How do i edit a picture? I dont want the white background?

I have a picture of an angel that i want use for badges that i make but when i put the picture onto my badge with any background colour other than white you can see a white border around it and i only want the angel. How do i do this please help!

    I mean no offence by this; I don't think that you will be able to do so. You would need to edit the picture, manually to remove the additional white background data, which is a pain stacking and laborious task.

    I would suggest you try and source another image without the additional background data or find a friend who is experienced with image manipulation to sort this for you.

    Use a program called GIMP to remove the white background and make sure to save the image as a .PNG file so it keeps it's transparency.

    Photoshop is free to download as a trial you get the full version of the most up to date Photoshop and all of its uses.

    There is a tool in Photoshop which is an eraser and it will delete all of the background with one click assuming it is of the same colour.

    Hover over the PS blue icon it will say try underneath download it install it and its yours for 30 uses.
