The USA officially cannot send men to space anylonger: Thoughts?

You need to provide a link with proof. Just because the Space Shuttle program is ending, I recall nothing that said all manned space exploration must end.

@Aegis, we've been to the moon six times. There's nothing really useful there. If China wants to waste a bunch of money going there, that's fine by me. You'll notice the USSR didn't bother going to the moon once we'd gotten there first.

Obama has ended space flight in favor of entitlements. So instead of space flight we have more food stamps.

Liberals don't believe in American exceptionalism. It shows by their policies. Bush had put in place the Constellation Project to replace the shuttle program, and Obama canceled it.

This is a tragedy.

Maybe America will get serious again after China puts a man on the moon in the next couple of years. That might be enough of a shock to get people to care.
