what does dolphin meat or whale taste like?

Funny how "everything tastes like chicken." I have never eaten either dolphin or whale meat. But I always hear that whale tastes like tough, stringy beef. Remember, whales and dolphins are mammals (cetaceans to be exact) and are not fish. But being sea creatures, I can believe they taste fishy.

I haven't tried dolphin but I've had whale. I'm Alaska Native (Inupiaq) and we eat whale. I personally don't like it, the meat is tough and the taste is kind of sour and fishy.

I've never had dolphin meat but I had canned whale meat a long time ago and it was very similar to beef.

I'v heard it tastes like chicken. As for the difference I think that whale meat is more tough. I to don't agree with the Japanese.

Not only does asian eat whales and dolphins, but the Caucasians does it too! Look up Norwegian dolphin slaughter.

I also had what meat stew once and I remember thinking it tasted like catfish... you know, very fishy, but I do remember it being tougher too.
