When we pray , what should we pray about ?

Pray about what is on your heart and mind. Pray for all the things that trouble you. This could be finances, relationships, difficulties other people have or are going through. I usually pray in a certain order to keep my thoughts straight.

First I always start with admitting to God I have sinned and done things he does not like. He already knows I did them so there is no reason to try to hide them and to approach Him I want to admit I did it and ask for His forgiveness before doing anything else. I know that I will be forgiven because of the terms of the blood covenant Christ established.

I thank Him for all He has been doing in my life and the relationship I have with Him.

Then I pray for the health concerns of people who are close to me or have asked for prayer.

Next I usually pray for God to enter into the lives of several people I know who are not Christians and/or are going through very hard times in their lives. This is praying for their salvation. That only happens when others come to accept Christ.

Lastly I pray for God to help with all the misc stuff in my life. Things I need help with, protection and encouragement for those around the world who are trying to spread the Word of God. They get beat down and discouraged by this world quite a bit. I pray for whatever else hangs heavy on my heart and mind. The economy of the world, human trafficking and injustice, the country, the minds and hearts of all those people around the world. We are always exposed to sin and sinful thoughts.

Always remember as a Christian when you pray to God to ask in Jesus' name. Jesus is the the only authority with which we have the ability to ask these things of God because the blood covenant He established now allows us to have a direct relationship with God again. Sincere prayer is the most important thing you can do to develop your relationship with God. Remember, He loves you.

Generally, people will pray to bless their family and bless the food they eat. But for the most part I'm sure people only pray when they are in trouble and see no way out.

Prayer is actually just talking to God and getting to know Him and listening for what He will say to you.

You can thank Him if you wish for a good night's sleep or whatever else you wish. You can ask Him for help with matters that worry you such as exams at school or trouble in the workplace or with siblings, relatives or neighbours and friends.

You can ask Him to heal and be with someone who is sick and in hospital. There are a million things anyone can pray about or talk to God about.

If you wish you can just wait in God's presence for "He who waits upon the Lord shall renew his strength. He shall mount up on wings as eagles. He shall run and not be weary. He shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31)

The Lord's prayer is a model prayer.........

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one."

Matthew 6:9-13

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. "

Philippians 4:6-7

Pray for healing, safety for your family, your leaders, and that God will have mercy on this nation that has turned its back on Him.

pray for a god that exists !

Enlightenment.

Then if it works, you'll get the wisdom to realize there is no god to grant prayers in the first place.
