What LAW was broken by TEXAS when they put to death the ILLEGAL ALIEN who raped and murdered a girl?

Liberals are saying Texas broke a law. Curious as to which law since he received a fair trial, was convicted and sentenced to death.

Update:

So there wasn't any "law" broken. That is good to know. Thank you liberals.

There is an international law the Vienna Consular something or other that a whole bunch of blithering idiot failed nations signed. We did not ratify it in the Senate because it is more or less a joke.

See if an American gets arrested in say Turkey. He gets thrown in prison, raped and tortured. The Obama Liberal crowd can crow that "he had consular access". The third world scumholes will still do what they want. The law like all other INTERNATIONAL laws was designed to tie our hands. Sure there are child molesters and other liberals who want to tie our legal hands. But Texas followed the law (US LAW) and cuz has assumed Room Temperature.

Just heard of this when the new broke a few days ago....still don't really care.

My only question is why some legal moron didn't just pick up the phone and call the embassy, tell them the got Paco locked up for murder and do they want to be kept informed?

Doesn't seem like too much to ask. If this were reversed, and it was an American locked up Mexico on trumped up charges......er....ok bad example.

International Law was broken. Rick Perry violated fair-trial and consular obligations defined by the Vienna Conventions on Consular Relations, as well as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

I know of no broken law. There is no legal requirement that a foreigner who is arrested in the USA be told to contact his country's consulate. He got his Miranda's and he had a lawyer. Apparently even his OWN lawyer did not tell him to contact the Mexican consulate.

The law that says Mexicans can come over and rape, pillage, murder and steal at their discretion. Please...it's great they killed a Mexican. Many more are on death row and I'm looking forward to it.

    What was the rush?

There was a definite question about whether the guy got adequate counsel.

Did Perry feel it was important, for political purposes, that they rush a questionable execution?

I mean... it is not like Texas has a good track record on this subject in the first place.

Texas has the highest rate of wrongful executions in the country.

My guess is that Perry was worried about his amnesty stance, and thought a lynching would earn him points with the Texas GOP.

What does that have to do with liberals? This liberal is for the death penalty. The difference is I don't claim to be pro-life in the same breath.
