Exactly What Bean Bag Filler Is Inside Your Beanbag

Just in case you happen to be planning on investing in a brand new bean bag lounge chair or perhaps a bean bag sofa there are a few things you should certainly contemplate before you run out there and buying the most affordable bean bag that you can find. In actual fact make sure you stay clear of low-priced beanbags altogether for several reasons.

Just like everything which is manufactured at low costs, the standard definitely will suffer. When it comes to bean bags that can mean several unique issues. The initial thing you must contemplate is the sort of bean bag filling that is used inside the bean bag. There are lots of different kinds of bean bag filling which are regularly used inside modern beanbags.

If you're going to get a cheap beanbag then the actual bean bag filling will likely be substandard quality. As a result the bean bag filler will not move around very easily inside the beanbag which can make it quite unpleasant to sit down on. The second downside to cheap bean bag filling is that it quickly loses shape. Inside a limited length of time it'll become pretty flat. This again will always make the bean bag uncomfortable to sit down on.

The exterior fabric of the actual beanbag is also significant. Bean bags can be made from various different fabrics. The actual most crucial point is that it's a hard wearing fabric that will last a long time. Many beanbags for youngsters are manufactured from fabric that's resistant to culinary mishaps. This is very important for kids bean bags since young children will frequently spill drinks and food. Low priced kids beanbags clearly won't be resistant to spillages.

    1. Dry beans are good, seriously.

    2. Rice is too, I think you shouldn't worry about it.

    3. Noodles (if big crunch them)

    4. Sand works AMAZING. (I once made one out of a balloon and put sand in it and it worked GREAT!

    5. Little rocks.

    6. Old soft blankets people have said worked (I don't see how?)

    7. Lentils

    8. Packing peanuts

    9. PVC pellets

    10. Try a hobby or craft supply store like Michaels, Craft 2000, or JoAnne Fabrics if they are in your area. Someone there should know exactly what you are looking for.

    11. Bean Bag fluff

    12. Opaque pellets

    13. http://www.creative-crafts-needlework.co.uk/softto... This has things to put inside perhaps

It really depends on if you are making a beany bag or making a bean bag chair.

    14. Dirt.

    15. Plastic Pellets

    16. Pebble type stones found in Michaels

    17. Buckwheat hulls

    18. Wool

    19. Millet

    20. Pony beads

    21. Polyfill

Extra tips: You could add things inside like plastic bags for sounds, and crinkles, or sew a bell on the inside of the fabric, etc.

Another fun thing to do, although your bean bags may be a little small, is leave an opening just large enough to put a unblown balloon in. When you blow the balloon up, it will conform to the shape. Once the knot is tucked in, it is fun to throw around and you don't have to worry about the balloon popping.

    Good luck! Hope I helped

Lots of great solutions already, but wanted to add MY solve: chopped up foam pipe insulation.

I hit Loews and got 6ft medium/small foam for 1$ each...I ended up using 8 to fill a medium bean bag pillow.

I cut the foam with regular scissors( , with blisters to show for it), about an inch long.

This is the same foam used for those water noodles for the pool.. but cheaper, and not SO firm.

    I made two pillows.

One took 8, the other smaller pillow used 4.

The larger pillow I used 1" rings, whole.

The smaller pillow, I cut the rings into 1/8s, for less bulge (whole donut rings show thru slightly on heavy cottons).

The smaller pillow showed hardly any more bulge than you might see from regular bean bag fill.

I think beans or rice or any other food is a really bad idea. All it would take is one single moth to lay its eggs there and you would have an entire bean bag full of moth eggs, larvae, and webs. Moths and their babies can get into any tiny crevice so your bean bag would not be safe from them.

If you really want to avoid beans or rice you can go to a craft store and spend a small fortune on plastic pellets (like in beanie babies).
