Brady is wright but I thought I'd ad a little detail. When Jack Norworth wrote the , "Take Me Out to The Ball Game", he wrote it because he saw a sign to enter a baseball poetry contest. This is the interesting part, when he wrote the poem, he had never actually been to a baseball game. Everything he wrote down, he wrote from what he had read and heard about going to a baseball game.

there replaced right into a music out interior the mid-70s, one version via Melba Bernard Law Montgomery in united states of america and the different via Shirley Caesar in R&B/pop, talked approximately as "No charge." the undertaking dealt with a baby writing out a invoice for his chores, to which the mum replied, "for the 9 months I carried you becoming interior me, no charge," etc. it is totally hokey (and that's being sort), even nevertheless it may serve your purpose. extra those days, Don Henley's music "Bringing You homestead" on his "interior interest" album is regarding the delivery of his daughter. Warren Zevon's "Tenderness on the Block" from 1978's "Excitable Boy" is approximately his daughter (Ariel, who's now an actress). "the sole baby," from Jackson Browne's album "The Pretender," is approximately his son, Ethan. In a particularly much less accepted mode, singer/songwriter John Hiatt (perfect-usually taking place for writing Bonnie Raitt's "element talked approximately as Love" and Jeff Healy's "Angel Eyes") has achieved countless songs approximately his infants: "Georgia Rae" and "baby of the Wild Blue Yonder" are approximately his youngest daughter; "Circle back" is approximately taking his oldest daughter to varsity, and "Your Dad Did" is a touch humorous look at parenting ("All arms fold because of the fact the three-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous says grace, she says, 'help the starving infants to recuperate, yet would my brother's hamster burn in hell'"). In united states of america song, i could advise "united states of america Bumpkin" via Cal Smith, "wager who's Gonna Be a Daddy" via Razzy Bailey, "Daddy's arms" via Holly Dunn, and "Daddy, What If" via Bobby bare and Bobby bare, Jr. (while the latter replaced into 5 years previous). of those, the Razzy Baily music won't be attainable, because of the fact actual, i may be the sole man or woman who even recalls that music! good success.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I couldn't resist answering because I've always wondered why fans sing "Take me out to the ballgame" when they are already there!
