Has anyone here ever been to a United League Baseball game?
I am planning a trip to Texas to visit some friends next year and I was told there is a Baseball league in Texas called the ULB. It kind of rang a bell because I was told there was a league that was going to compete with MLB in the late 90’s, but never happened or something like that. Well I am a good baseball fan (Tampa Bay Rays being my team) and I am willing to take a day or two to go to see a ULB game. But I guess my questions are;
How are the tickets priced?
Are the Stadiums well organized so I can get a Lounge for my friends and family?
Do they have a strong fan base or are the games usually empty?
Which teams do you recommend I should go watch, considering I will be traveling to Dallas, then San Antonio, and finally Austin before I head back home?

I'm a big baseball fan too, and have looked around for different teams/leagues.
The ULB went defunct in 2010, but here are some other Texas teams to consider. I don't know where they are located compared to where you will be. I guess you can check that.
INDEPENDENT TEAMS (not affiliated with an MLB team)
Sugarland Skeeters (New team in 2012)

Edinburg Roadrunners
McAllen Thunder

Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings

San Angelo Colts

Alpine Cowboys

MINOR LEAGUE TEAMS AFFILIATED WITH MLB TEAMS:

Corpus Christi Hooks (Astros Affiliate)
Frisco RoughRiders (Rangers Affiliate)
Midland RockHounds (A's Affiliate)
Round Rock Express (Rangers Affiliate)
San Antonio Missions (Padres Affiliate)
Another thing to consider, is check the schedule for the Rays and see if they are playing in Texas during your visit. Or maybe you can even plan to visit when they are playing there.

I hate to break it to you, but the United Baseball League is now defunct. They no longer play games. Sorry.
