Help with my parents?

So my parents can be bitches sometimes. They disconnect the modem (you need that to use wi-fi) and hide it. Um.... wtf? Once they even hid the freakin' wii. They don't let me charge my phone in my room, and they block my text and calling at 9 pm. WOW. And this is all when I DON'T do anything wrong! I think this is totally unfair!! I never do anything bad! The worst thing I've done is stay up late. Well I'm a teenager. What do you expect? And I have a hard time falling asleep so I try and be productive and do something. They yell at me for every little thing. Ugh any advice for what I should do? Btw they're asian. Figures huh?

I can hardly call this suffering. When parents don't drill you, they love you. When they do, they love you, and want only the best for you. There is the huge difference. I hope i don't sound like a buzz-kill. However, you have a wii!!! And a phone.

I worked for my first phone, as a gardener for some family friends, took me 6 months to buy it, at 14 i was, i think. I saved up for my Playstation 2 and bike as well.. I hated it, i still kind of do. However, now, at 19, i could not feel more responsible, and human, yes, human.

My parents made me sleep by 9, not get in bed, sleep, by 9.. And my mum is African, and, being in Africa... I was whooped... really bad..

I had not TV hours during the day... I hated it, i was made to study if i didnt want to play...and who am i shitting playing in 34C weather???

So, i read a lot... And, at 17, i loved who i was, who they made, i learnt to love the little things. I never had many friends, just one to be precise, since i was not African, and kids are kids.... so, i was picked on and all... My parents not once helped me, i learnt to fight my battles. Even better, how to avoid my battles (no violence is answer).. and what not.

I am currently in my first year, uni, doing mechatronics, and, i am proud of myself, i have a sense of time, i can live without my phone, correction, i live without my phone. I can go weeks without touching my laptop...except for assignments... I live, freely. I thank my parents for that

Asian? Are they muslims? Well first check if you have a spy file in your computer, for teenagers a computer is a tool to express his/her needs, interests, to search, to experiment, so that you dont do smth wrong can be just for you, and it can be scary for ortodoxal parents. Maybe they even check your phone. So try to be wiser. Send some e-mails or sms to your friends smth like "you know what, i cant meet with you today, because my parents wants me to spend some time with them and i have to do it and i appreciate" and then let them read it. Also try to balance, unfortunately we dont choose parents, but you know (if they are really not sick people), they care and scared for you a lot. Maybe you should step back for a little, get better marks at school and make them happy with your attention. You will get more results being softer and tender with them, other then makeing your own revolution. However you have no idea how to grow and take care of a child, and you dont know what kind of parent you will be to blame your own parents right now. Especially asian, you know, the whole world has some difficulties to understand asian people, you are probably very modern teenage, and your parents are just to slow to get all new stuff from life, they are probably too busy to get money, to pay for credits, so (i know its very difficult in your age), but try to understand them just a bit) good luck!
