Is It Okay To Run With Your Dog Everyday?

i have a black labrador he's 1 yr and a half and i like to run and ive been briging him with me everyday so far for about a month i run about 2 miles without stopping will that hurt him is it good or bad for him and will keeping him active lengthen or shorten his life and will it cause hip dysplasia to occur faster than normal and i run on the sidewalk i rarely go joging at a park

    I think It should be great for him! Labs tend to get fatter and lazier when they get older. Especially if they have been fixed. Exercise will help fight this. Also about the hip dysplasia- they make vitamins for dogs that work wonders. My parents use them on their 7 yr old lab, and he's doing great now.

    that's actually not very good for their legs and isn't good for a dog at risk for hip dysplasia you should try either walking or taking him once a week or maybe even every other day but if you call your vet they would probally be able to tell you exactly how much your pup can handle

    Forced activity for young puppies is ill advised because their joints are still developing. Your dog is well over a year old, however, so probably fine.

    As long as you're taking care to monitor him for signs of fatigue and know when to call it quits lest he over exert himself. And as long as you take care in extreme weather conditions (such as high heat which is keeping my dog pretty lazy right now, lol) I think you should be fine.

    for A lab its good there high active makesure to get them a break every here and there. get joint pills from a pet store to give your dog it can help him in the long run
