Told I'm having a girl at 16 weeks?

It depends on the skill of the ultrasound technician. My ultrasound that I was told I was going to have a little girl occurred at the 18 week mark. think the 16 week mark may be the very earliest they can tell. Even when I mentioned to my doctor that the ultrasound tech told us we were having a girl, he would never once commit to saying it was a female. I think he was just being extra cautious, and of course when I gave birth, it was a girl and he acknowledged her then...but he'd rather not be sued. I'd say if at your next ultrasound, usually at 18 weeks, you could be pretty sure (or if she is a highly experienced, greater than 10 years of correct guesses ultrasound tech). Just be aware that 16 weeks is certainly early. Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I wish you the best of luck! No matter how far along you are ultra sounds could be wrong. Some people's doctors told them they were having a girl and they took a little boy home in a pink dress. Ultra sounds are never a hundred percent but they are a good indicator after about 20 weeks.

i didnt find out what i was having till i was 27 weeks lol. i think its awesome that they can find out at 16 weeks, my daughter is now almost 3. they will give you more ultra sounds just tell them to check again lol
