Girls: What are your thoughts on a person in the military...?
and actively serving in it? Also they are in actual combat, out in the field most of the time. What are your thoughts when:
1. It is a friend
2. It is someone you love (e.g. crush/not together but still love/gf/wife/fiance)
Here's the job in which i'll be applying for: Rifleman. Which is the frontline soldier

Everybody is different.
I've seen people effed up from combat so it depends on if you've already actually done a deployment or not.
what branch?
and whats your job?
when its a friend fine. good, but don't complain every day how you hate your damn job.
2 I am married to a Soldier, who has indeed been deployed to Iraq before. I'm proud. again thats until or IF a some switch gets flipped but I'm pretty sure my husband is mentally stable. seeing as he never changed from before deployment and now almost 3 years later.
my husband is Infantry.
again i think most open minded young females will like you no matter what, just avoid those that are 100% close minded and against the war because they will do nothing but ruffle your feathers. so they're not worth it.
good luck.

I have friends in the military. I always worry I'll see that they were killed on the news so that's scary. But to me if it was a family member I'd be terrified. As for a bf or anything like that. If he was in the military when we met then I never would have dated him anymore after that because first I couldn't be away from my love that long at a time and I would just worry way too much so I'd never let myself get attached to that kind of person. As for if I'm already with him then I'd do what I could to get them to not go. I'm just not one for people in the military I just couldn't deal with that. But everyone is different.

first off, it is true there is nothing sexier than a man in uniform =]
second though- long distance relationships are hard HARD work and take a lot of extra effort at communication
third, anyone serving the country is braver than i am, i am a total chicken who could never fire a gun near another even if they were like attacking me =/
when they are friends i keep them in my prayers and make sure that i let them know they are appreciated for all their hard work and devotion
i haven't ever been with someone in the military so cant say for sure, but i'd guess it would be a mix between proud, miss them, sad they aren't around, sometimes bitter they aren't there (selfish a little yeah) and hopeful that they are safe and that i would hear from him soon.
hope this helps, and if you are in the military already..thank you for protecting my rights and freedom!

2!!!!! There is nothing more appealing than a man in a uniform! You are still capable of loving someone who is in the army. I could understand it being more difficult to have a relationship but that shouldn't stop someone.

someone just told me that he applied for this job and got 4 years ago, and now he's afraid he's going to die. it's one of the more dangerous positions.
good luck!

It doesn't matter what they are to me (friend/family/etc.) I have a huge amount of respect for them and constantly worry about them! Hope this answers your question :-)
