Why are people Obsessed with instant gratification?

Update:

instant gratification i think comes with a price that must be payed after, and is usually with less benefits for the price.

    We have been condition to instant gratification by companies and ad agencies selling us something.

    Becasue everybody is in hurry and has no time for savouring what they got.

    Because they are ruled by their senses , which makes them to do that . in order to get rid of that , one should bring senses under his control by constant devotion to god . :)
