New Curado! WOOOOOOOOO!?

Not that I need a new reel, the ones I have right now don't get used as much as they should. But the Curado & Citica "G" 's are out. Retail for the G is $159 ($20 cheaper than the E was at release) but the Citica G is at $129 ($10 higher than the E was). Maybe I'm the only tackle porn enthusiast but there's not many things that turn me on as much as iCast every year.

Update:

@Josh: I'd love to have a new reel and a 6' 9 MH rod for Spinnerbaits. Been fishing them a lot lately and need a nice MH rod. Shimano's new Compre rods ($100) are being made this upcoming year with the same blank as last year's Crucial, only different between this year's Compre and last year's Crucial are the guides. I'd like to get one of those if I can. And another reel would be great too, maybe another Daiwa. I'm really liking my Tierra. Or a new Curado..

Very nice. When I have money burning a hole in my pocket, it always goes towards fishing stuff, normally reels. I just bought another Revo STX last night, along with a Kistler rod. It's going to be my new jig/flipping setup.

Hm, different guides, huh? Have they switched to the micro guides by chance?

Shimano has been making great reels for a long time and the Curado line is the best for the money that they make in my opinion.

That said, a few years back they updated the line and went with grey color instead of green. While these reels were nice they just weren't as good as the older green models. They did another update after only 1 or 2 years and hit a homerun again. I hope they didn't regress again. I would wait to see what the field reports are in before buying one.

Take a look at the Abu Garcia Revo Premier. I have never used a finer baitcaster.
