YA is a knowledge sharing platform /doubt clearing platform , while twitter is a social networking site (i would term this site for those who are interested to know what a celebrity thinks of a particular issue , what he is doing at a particular time etc etc) and facebook offcourse you are well aware is more of a social networking site to develop/increase your contacts

and knowledge sharing ? who is interested in sharing their knowledge ( if any)??

YA is for grown ups (with some knowledge/experience) while other two are for different age group

and if you compare the average age group of YA with that of the above two , it will be exactly as the average age difference of our test team compared to the T20 team

and finally , the name YAHOO is more synonymous with mails , more members of yahoo may not be aware of QA section ( even i did not know about YA for long)

Maybe because besides being very staid and sometimes too old-fashioned,Yahoo

plays favorites and in many ways is very biased. Moreover,In Y!A the guidelines are so archaic that it is not only sickening but so horrible that when answers, comments etc.are reported, explanations are rarely accepted and appeals upheld.Too one-sided that the reported person is viewed as the wrong doer and sometimes the account is even suspended. There are instances of a person's comments on news items not being posted though other very cheap and very vulgar and disgusting comments are freely posted all because Yahoo is biased against the concerned person. That is reprehensible and despicable.

    Have a Great Day.

Face book, Twitter are related to the individual persons. Yahoo is not related to members, it is the yahoo's property. one can come, give questions, answer, comment, vote but no ownership. That is the reasons.

Because in yahoo one cant always answer openly and in the mean time put up glamorous words, face and thoughts and fake their feelings like people do in twitter and facebook.

Because due to violations , suspensions and strict community guidelines its lost his popularity , if these obstacles are removed then you can see how it will become popular within a month .

I prefer YA. I think it is cos, we could make only virtual friends over here, rather contacting real friends. Here people would discuss their very personal problems and seek advice, which they could not even disclose to real friends. So, even if we have YA account we wouldn't disclose to our friends!!
