Pacquiao fans/ Mayweather fans...respect question (s)?
If you are a Pacquiao fan, what Mayweather boxing match makes you respect him as a boxer the most?
If you are a Mayweather fan, what Pacquiao boxing match makes you respect him as a boxer the most?
If you are not particularly more of a fan one or the other, which boxing by both made you respect them as boxers most?
Martin, that was my purpose to highlight the greatness of both fighters. BTW, the fight in which I am most impressed with Pacquiao was Marquez II, he improved so much from their first fight.

As a Mayweather fan, I like a lot of Pacquiao's fights. This is my top 5 Pacquiao fights:
Pacquiao/Marquez I
Pacquiao/Marquez II
Pacquiao/De La Hoya
Pacquiao/Hatton
Pacquiao/Morales II
I'm a Mayweather fan, doesn't mean I hate Pacquiao. Manny is great.

There have been a lot of Mayweather fights that made me respect him. In fact, I would most likely be a Mayweather fan had it not been to his off-ring behavior. My favorites are:
1. Corrales
2. Hatton
3. Oscar

I am Joshua Mbngo Dmbungo TONGUE-CLICK Jnr. Jnr.
I'm a Pacquiao fan and there are several that spring to mind for Mayweather. He took on a very live De La Hoya at a weight that suited Oscar, no catchweight and dug deep to win decisively.
Corrales was viewed as being too powerful and dangerous but Floyd just schooled him and beat him up.
Hatton, undefeated and #1 at 140. Mayweather completely neutralizes him and beats him in every department.
Mayweather has plenty of admirable victories but De La Hoya is the one that sprung to mind first so that gets my vote.

Sir I am more of a Pacquiao fan than a Mayweather fan, but for the most part, I am really more neutral than anything. I think that both men had impressive wins over De La Hoya who certainly isn't viewed as an easy opponent and both also had impressive wins over Rickey Hatton obviously. I've been impressed with both men since the beginning of their careers. I was also impressed with Pacquiao's complete domination of Margarito and Maywether's impressive victory over John Gatti. As far as boxing goes, both men are highly respected by me.

As a Pacquiao fan, the bout I respected Floyd the most was his fight against Judah. Not sure why, but I felt Judah had his number that fight, but Floyd was able to pull out the victory.

Pac fan.
I always know that Floyd is a pure boxer. But one fight he really made me respect him as a boxer is when he fought De La Hoya. Floyd lost the first 6 rounds, but Floyd pulled it off by just boxing. When someone is down 6 to nothing, the best possible way of winning is by either knocking his opponent out. But Floyd box him perfectly.
As for Pacquiao, his second fight against Morales. He won the fight by taking the longer and hard way of doing it. By taking a ton of punishment.

i have to say, i'm a mayweather fan - i love his style!
and they both had the same oppenent which made me respect them both...ricky hatton!
Hatton was a fantastic boxer, until he went up against mayweather - pacquiao just finished hatton off, mayweather did the work! and plus, i believe pac-man is on sterioids due to the fact he won't take a drugs test before a fight with mayweather and mayweather wont fight him without a drugs test. something stinks there; i would love to see such a fight though!

First off, these are always good questions as they tend to make us acknowledge the greatness of both fighters as opposed to bashing them. for me, i'm tempted to say the third morales fight, but i have to go with the miguel cotto fight. we got to see manny use all of his weapons, power shots, jabs, angles, speed, a great chin, he took a thumping body shot from miguel, seemed to say "good one" and came right back, and his stamina was on display as it was a longer fight, and he showed excellent killer instinct because he had built up a big lead, but kept the pressure on miguel until the fight was stopped. there were pundits who had said manny might have "hit a wall" in fighting cotto and they would not hold a loss against him, but manny still dominated the fight.
